As with any cooking adventure, the day begins in the bustling marketplace.
Feel, smell and taste almost everything you will use later and learn about its origin while supporting local vendors.
Your day continues at a local organic restaurant where you meet the Balinese chef who will help you create something magical. “Paon” is the traditional balinese kitchen that uses fire (no ceramic hobs), fresh herbs and spices to make a distinctive yellow paste that will be the base of your vegetarian or traditional meal.
After enjoying the fruits of your labor, you continue to Tampaksiring, a temple known for its sacred springs.
The next temple dates back to the 11th century and documents a rich history of the Balinese culture and their complex relationship with China.
Finally, we burn off the calories from earlier with a short but intense descent to the hidden waterfall.
You’ll arrive with wet feet, but the experience is worth every moment.
